Tell us a little bit about you and your business Hey Blondie! is a hairdressing salon in Newport that provides professional hair care while being environmentally conscious. An accredited member of Sustainable Salons Australia, everything at Hey Blondie! is recycled – even the hair clippings. All products stocked and used are environmentally-friendly and not tested on animals. The salon has been operating in its current location for seven years in January and offers two full-time stylists. Previously called Long for It, it was rebranded with a fresh new look and relaunched as Hey Blondie! in May 2018. At Hey Blondie! customer service is key. We pride ourselves on getting to know our clients on a personal level and our aim is to create confident, beautiful styles that reflect their personalities. Our clients are also treated to massage chairs, coffee, wine, and magazines that they can take home. We love pampering people!

Much of our business, we are proud to say, is generated by word-of-mouth. It’s not unusual for entire families to come to Hey Blondie! and we love having that special connection with people in our local community. Often clients will run into each other in the salon and enjoy an impromptu catchup, but one of our favourite things is when complete strangers strike up a conversation. We try to present an atmosphere that is welcoming and friendly and it’s so great when we see our clients reflect that.

What's behind the name? We got a review that said "Hey Blondie" thanks for the great haircut.

What keeps your customers coming back? Our awesomeness!

What's your motto? Life isn't perfect, but your hair can be.

The west side is the best side right? Tell us why you love the west I moved here about 14 years to start my apprenticeship, and being from a small country town in the centre of Victoria I found the west to be similar in so many ways and the people are so caring and thoughtful! I felt right at home.

Love the west!!!!
